Bristol-Myers Squibb Co. will add a third building to its Redwood City research and development campus and potentially bring on another 150 employees there, signaling the giant drug maker’s faith in its burgeoning cancer immunotherapy franchise.
The New York-based company (NASDAQ: BMY) will lease a 62,000-square-foot structure in the Woodside Technology Park, where it already occupies 194,000 square feet in two buildings. Financial terms of the deal weren’t disclosed, but the leases for all three buildings now extend to March 2027, according to landlord BioMed Realty.
BMS is in the process of moving into its second building on the site. The third structure should be ready for occupancy in September 2017, said Keith Joho, the company’s vice president of research operations in Redwood City.
